FS#640 - launch app > scroll through all characters = small delay between 8th and 9th character

test devices: iPadAir2_iOS10.2, iPadMini2_iOS10.3.3, iPadAir1_iOS11.0.1
Situation: I launch the app and enter the character selection. Now I scroll through all characters
Problem: there is a small delay between the 8th and 9th character: the 9th character appears delayed → please watch movie
Note: it happens for the very first app start and sometimes when the app was restarted
